We recently launched a new website for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro-based marketing agency, Magnetik Marketing Solutions. The site is actually template-based, with numerous customizations done to it.
There is a large, front-page slider that gets some of the marketing message of the business out to visitors while adding a little motion and excitement to the design. To add some content and credibility, we also included some case studies right on the front page that the owner can easily add to using the WordPress backend.
In addition there are spots for blog posts right on the front page, as well as a contact form directly on there for people to view. We kept the navigation nice and simple to allow visitors to quickly and easily find what they are looking for.
Since this is an existing template, this would actually be an example of a very inexpensive, affordable option for a website. Most small business owners I talk to are actually quite surprised at how manageable the cost of one is.
