Ace High Casino is a family-owned casino event company based in the Twin Cities that has been putting on casino-themed events for over 30 years. The events they put on are a ton of fun and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time.
We had already been working with them for a bit when they came to us asking if we could design a new, refreshed WordPress website for them.
We were delighted that they asked and set to work to build a high-performance, usable, effective WordPress website that gets the phone ringing.

About Ace High Casino
Ace High Casino brings classic Vegas games to a variety of different event spaces throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding areas. The casino-themed entertainment packages include tables, dealers, and everything else needed to make it the real deal.
They are available for corporate events, private parties, fundraisers, and more.

We worked closely with the client to outline what it was we wanted to accomplish with this new website design. What we aimed for:
- Modern, high-end visual feel (with a strong – but professional – Vegas vibe)
- Mobile-friendly
- Clear service offerings
- Strong calls to action

Design Approach and User Experience
Our approach focused on turning their real-world events into a visual sales tool, while making it easy for visitors to understand their services and take action.
Visual Storytelling
We knew that their events looked top-notch, and one thing the previous website seriously lacked was high-end photos of their actual, staged events. I knew that if we had professional photos, they would sell themselves. So I connected them with my long-time good friends over at Anthologie and they delivered some incredible images that accomplish everything we had hoped for and more.
With these new photos in hand, we focused on the following:
- Large, immersive hero images (casino tables, cards, beautifully-lit spaces)
- Emotion-driven imagery (photos of people having a blast sell the service)
Clear hierarchy
- Strong headlines (big, bold, easy to scan)
- Supporting text below (not walls of text)
Conversion flow
- Buttons such as:
- “Event Request Form”
- “Get in Touch”
- Placed early and repeated so that visitors always know the next step
Section flow
- Hero section -> services -> credibility -> call to action conversion
- A deliberate flow instead of random blocks of filler content (this is more important than most people realize)
Mobile experience
- Navigation simplifies nicely when viewed on mobile devices
- Buttons are touch-friendly and prominent
- Content stacks automatically into orderly, scroll-driven sections
- Calls to action remain easy to access
Built for Speed and Performance
We focused on using optimized tools that we live and breathe every day. We also intentionally kept the plugin stack extremely lean to reduce bloat and improve long-term reliability. We used the following:
- WordPress & Elementor
- Optimized assets (images properly scaled and compressed, etc.)
- WP Rocket caching
- Clean structure
- Small set of plugins (this is huge – we kept it to just 6 plugins)
- lightweight theme (Hello Elementor)
- SEO-friendly structure
Serving Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Surrounding Minnesota Areas
Ace High Casino is based in the Twin Cities area and does most of their events within range of Minneapolis and St. Paul. However, because they go to where the event is and are entirely mobile, they can bring the casino right to you anywhere within the greater metro area.
Check out their website for a full list of areas served, but know that they can absolutely service any of the south metro suburbs like Burnsville, Lakeville, or Eagan, all the way up to Stillwater, White Bear Lake, and beyond!
In fact, most places within Minnesota or Wisconsin are within range. They even list as far as Duluth and Superior, WI, Danbury, Eau Claire, and more.
