“No Data Received” Chrome Error – Problem Fix

If you’ve ever gotten the “No Data Received” error while working with your website, I may have an easy solution for you. In my case, this error seemed to start showing up only on SSL encrypted pages. I’m not sure what the significance of this is, but it happened! In my case also, it came when I made many http requests in a very short period of time. I loaded up about 80 different tabs with different pages in rapid succession.

So what is the solution? Try restarting your computer! More than once this has solved the problem for my completely and quickly. If that fails, I would recommend restarting your router. Many online will tell you this is strictly a server problem, but it’s just not true. Try connecting to the same page with a different computer, especially one not on your network. Your phone on mobile data will work too. If it works just fine on the other device, odds are the problem is local.

Just restart the computer, and see if that does the trick. Hopefully this tip will save some people some trouble! Half an hour on tech support with Godaddy is not fun, and in my case was a waste of time since the issue was actually on my end. Let me know if I helped you out in the comments!
