I am pleased to announce I have launched a new website for Skip’s Sprinklers based out of Hastings, Minnesota.
Skip’s Sprinklers is a family owned and operated sprinkler company that’s been in business for nearly 40 years. They live by the belief that anything worth doing is worth doing right, and the quality of their work is consistent with that message.
While their work speaks for itself, their website needed some help. Originally built years ago, the design was lacking. With a rigid fixed-width layout and busy content, I had my work cut out for me.
The new website is based on a great template I like to work with. It features highly responsive design, a beautiful image slider, and smooth, classy page transitions.
We spent quite a bit of time during the development process trying to get the “feel” just right. Skip’s is a family-owned business and that’s what we wanted to convey with the site. The design shows their actual employees working instead of generic stock photos. A picture of the founder is displayed prominently as a tribute.
Throughout the site, beautiful photography is displayed of the work they do. These are all actual photos of their systems and landscape lighting taken by the talented Dan Iverson of Anthologie. Anytime a client has great photography like this I get excited, because it makes for a very attractive website.
Being responsive, the website also adapts very well to mobile devices. I also included standard add-ons such as Google Analytics for tracking traffic, contact forms, and social media links.
We had a lot of fun putting the site together and it should serve them quite well for years to come.
