I am pleased to announce the completion of a new website design for Division 12 of the American Psychological Association: Society of Clinical Psychology. After several months of planning, revisions, and testing, we have finally gone live and are happy to share our work with the internet.
As with any large website, especially one for an extensive organization, there were many pages and lots of information that needed to be organized. Working closely with the client, we decided on the new navigational structure and home page layout. Much of the site can be accessed directly from menu items directly at the top of the page, without the need for sub-menus. Four pages in particular needed to be highlighted easily accessed, so we put those at the bottom of the slider on their own line where they can stand out and be easily accessed.
In addition to the static pages on the site, the division also needed to display frequent news items in several categories in an easy-to-digest manner. Three of these categories are displayed right on the homepage, with the most recent posts in each having their featured images displayed behind the content for a pleasing, media-rich feel.
We designed the site itself to be clean, easy-to-use, and modern. The image slider on the homepage immediately opens up the site and brings some nice imagery in. The site is also responsive, so it scaled up or down to the device used to view it.
I am always excited to see a project come alive, and this is one that I have been heavily invested in. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I enjoyed creating it!
